We are determined to create a positive learning environment for all children participating in NNYFL. We want to build good character and leadership values when our children represent their community. Our league is about showing good sportsmanship and teaching our children with fun and positive methods.

However, rivals will be formed and a competetive atmosphere will begin.

Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit, unfortunately, so is losing.

The mission of NNYFL is to make a positive difference in the lives of children and youth, primarily through a professionally supported one-to-one relationship with a caring adult and to assist them into achieving their highest potential as they grow to become confident, competent and caring individuals, by providing committed volunteers, national leadership and standards of excellence.
